Brown Bombshell Beauty is a personal blog. The information contained herein is of my personal experiences and opinions, and mine alone. Though I am a makeup artist, and very knowledgeable about makeup, skincare and hair care, I am not a licensed hair stylist, esthetician, dermatologist or other medical expert.
Product reviews are my honest opinion of a product, and are not meant to malign the makers of any product or service, but merely inform readers of my experience with a particular product or service. Use products mentioned on this blog at your own discretion.
On December 1, 2009, The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) enforced new regulations for blogs in regards to receipt of gratis, in an effort to create a blogging culture of full disclosure. According to these new regulations, bloggers must disclose to their readers any complimentary products or services received from companies.
From time to time, I do receive products from PR companies for consideration for review on Brown Bombshell Beauty. In order to comply with the FTC regulations, I will state within a posts whether it features any complimentary products or services received. Products purchased by me with my own personal funds will be stated as such. Please know that I am not, nor have I ever been paid to write about a positive product, and I never will. If I say that I love a product, I really mean it!
I do, however, receive a small commission from ads placed on the site. These ads come from both the ad network I belong to (Glam Publishing Network) and individual businesses desiring to advertise on Brown Bombshell Beauty. I also receive a small commission from product links to some of my favorite sites, if you so chose to make a purchase while on said site. Believe me, Brown Bombshell Beauty is not about the money for me, it’s about my love of beauty. I will never arbitrarily add links to sites or products, in an attempt to earn more commission. This is my commitment to you, my readers. Brown Bombshell Beauty will continue to be a place to get unbiased product reviews and beauty coverage, catered to women of color.
