Target is a dangerous, dangerous place for me. I go in there with the intention of buying one or two small things, and come out with bags full of stuff. It never fails! One area that I always make a beeline for is the beauty section (surprise, surprise). I tend to wander into the beauty aisles at any store I visit, but Target’s newly revamped beauty offerings are always full of great buys, like their ever expanding selection of products for natural hair. I can’t resist picking up and new item or two, and I recently got the chance to try a few of their natural hair care products that I’ve had my eye on for a while. Let’s take a look at what I picked up!

Shea Radiance Nourishing Hair Repair  – Was super rich and immediately nourishing to my hair. Unlike many strengthening hair care products that can make hair crunchy, this left my hair feeling soft and moist. The lovely lavender scent was an unexpected and pleasant bonus. Definitely a product to consider adding to your winter hair care regimen.

Shea Radiance Maximum Curl Defining Cream  - Another hydrating product from Shea Radiance! Very rich and creamy without being heavy or greasy. This surprisingly lightweight lotion also had a light, minty scent. My curls were soft with a nice sheen. I usually prefer gels and custards for styling, but this product gave a nice, soft hold and fluffy curls.

Curls Cashmere Curl Jelee – I loved the slip this gave my hair as I applied it. It was almost like applying a leave-in/detangler. This jelly is much lighter than most hair gels, with a slightly sticky consistency. Although it is liquidy, it did give my kinky coily hair enough weight to stretch the curls. Even with the inevitable shrinkage that takes place with my hair, my hair was still lengthened more than it is with most other jelly/gel stylers I’ve used.

If you find yourself in Target (and you know you will!), head over to the beauty aisle and give these products a try! What recent beauty buys have you made in Target?
