Bombshell Beauty Review: Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque

Clay masks have always been a part of my skin care arsenal. Without them, my oily skin goes HAM and I end up with a lovely crop of blackheads. The sweltering 100+ degree temps we’ve been having daily in Kansas City aren’t exactly helping things, so some serious oil absorbing was in order.

I gave myself an at-home facial with Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque, $23 with great results. It contains bentonite clay to absorb oil and oatmeal and aloe vera to soothe and soften skin. The creamy texture felt light on the skin, but still brought my deep-down blackheads up to the surface. It didn’t leave my skin dry and cracked like so many clay masks do, which only makes oiliness worse. Kiehl’s Rare Earth Deep Pore Cleansing Masque was tough on blemish-causing oil but totally gentle to my skin. Love it!

If you’re in the market for an effective but gentle mask for normal to oily skin, give this one a try! What products have you been using to keep the summer greasies at bay?

Hi Amber. I am subscribed to your blog and I enjoy your reviews and insights. Can you tell me where you purchased this product?
Also, I didn’t know you were in KC. I have loads of family and friends in KC (MO and KS). I know it’s sweltering there. I live on the West Coast, but try to visit when I can.

Hi, Tamera, glad to see another KC girl :) I purchased mine at Nordstrom, but I’d check the Kiehl’s site for one of their boutiques or other Kiehl’s retailers in your area. Thanks so much for subscribing and commenting!
