Happy Friday, gorgeous! It’s been a while since I delivered a beauty scoop, so I thought, I bring it back. Before you start your weekend, take a peek at the fab beauty news that happened this week!
Icon Vanessa Williams will launch a new skin care line next month via QVC called ReVitalistic Skin Care. The collection will include 5 anti-aging products including Re-Start Skin Serum, Re-Contour Neck & Décolleté Cream, Re-Focus Firming Eye Serum, Re-Quench Anti Age Defense Intensive Moisture Treatment and Perfexture Triple Enzyme Skin Perfecting Peel. Prices will range from $48 to $68 when it airs on QVC on August 3rd and 18th. The enzyme peel sounds promising and Vanessa Williams stays looking like she has her own personal fountain of youth in her backyard, so I’ll be tuning in.
CVS is making room on store shelves for more products for natural hair. Miss Jessie’s recently announced that their products would be available in select CVS stores, and now naturalista favorite SheaMoisture will be sharing shelf space with them. 250 CVS stores will now carry the brand’s affordable hair care products (all are priced at $9.99) including the popular Coconut Curl and African Black Soap collections. Two thumbs up for natural hair care products being sold in more mainstream stores!
Obsessive Compsulvise Cosmetics’ cult favorite Lip Tar liquid lip colors will soon be sold in Sephora stores. Begining Sept. 17th, all 42 shades will be available at 10 select Sephora stores in major cities, and the brand’s five most popular shades (pictured above) will be available at all Sephora stores in October. Sephora-exclusive holiday and summer collections are also in the works. I’ve long been a fan of OCC’s Lip Tar and look forward to being able to purchase them in Sephora stores. Who knows, maybe other OCC products will become available in the future if all goes well.
In “Umm, I guess…” news, The View co-host Sherri Shephard is teaming up with supermodel Daisy Fuentes and hair guru Tabitha Coffey (have you seen her show on Bravo? She positively slays hot-mess hair salons – pure hilarity) to launch Luxhair, a trio of wig and hair extension collections. Each diva will have her own line and Sherry’s, called Luxhair Now by Sherri Shepherd, will include 12 pieces priced from $69-99, in 18 shades from onyx to silver. The collections will be available in September in stores across the country and online via wigs.com, beauty.com and drugstore.com, with plans to sell on QVC in 2013. Go ahead and make that money, Sherri…
That concludes this week’s beauty news roundup! Did you like? Let me know and I’ll keep it coming :). Have a great weekend!
