Bombshell Diaries: Style Bloggers of Color Conference Recap

Last weekend I traveled to Atlanta for the Style Bloggers of Color Conference, hosted by Mattie James of style blog Mattieology. SBOC was attended by some of the best fashion and beauty bloggers of color from across the web, including Tia of Shake Your Beauty, Marie Denee of The Curvy Fashionista, Christen of Divas and Dorks and Claire of The Fashion Bomb, plus industry influencers like Myleik Teele, owner of CurlBox and Nicole Garnerowner of  The Garner Circle PR. There were panels on everything from working with brands to making money blogging, and yours truly moderated the panel on social media!

While the artsy, edgy Ink! Art Gallery was a great backdrop for such an event, the usually awesome camera on my iPhone was no match and none of my pictures came out too great. But I still wanted to share at least a few pics, so check out a few them out below!

Some of the lovely table decor at the SBOC awards luncheon. Love the incorporation of fashion glossies!

It was an amazing weekend of blogger fellowship and fabulousness, and I couldn’t have been more honored to be a part of it! So many talented, dedicated fashion and beauty bloggers of color don’t get the shine they deserve, so it was great to see these hard-working style mavens get recognized for their contributions to style blogging, as well as share what they’ve learned with blogging newbies.

Many thanks to Mattie and the amazing SBOC team (hey, Diamonde!). Can’t wait for next year! For more info and great pics visit the Style Bloggers of Color conference blog.
