Product Love: NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer SPF 30, Pics + Review
I’ve never been one for tinted moisturizers. Ever. They always looked greasy on my combo/oily skin, faded within an hour or two, and provided zero coverage, not even the sheer coverage they promised. I mean, isn’t there supposed to be some TINT in a tinted moisturizer?
So when I heard that NARS, one of my fave beauty brands (seriously, whenever people ask, it’s always in my top 3), was releasing Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer, $42 my ears perked up. When I found out that it helps reduce dark spots over time and came in a range of brown skin friendly shades, I knew I had to have it!
I’ve been wearing Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer now for a few weeks and I absolutely love it! I was completely blown away by the incredible buildable coverage this provides. You can apply a small amount for a sheer look, or blend on more for added coverage. From my experience, you can build this up to medium coverage, which is incredibly impressive for a tinted moisturizer.
I was also impressed with how natural and glowey it made my skin look. Imperfections were blurred and my skin looks even. Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer has replaced my usual foundation on weekday mornings when I’m pressed for time, especially since it’s a great moisturizer, too. It provides non-greasy moisture and the SPF 30 doesn’t look ashy. I’m hooked! I simply dust on a little powder to cut down the dewiness (my oily skin will provide the dew, lol) and go. I’m hooked!
I can’t yet speak on the reduction of dark spots, as it’s too soon to tell, plus I also use skin care products to battle hyper-pigmentation. After more time has passed, I’ll update this post!

Blended in, NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisturizer in Martinique (no flash). Peep the glowey perfection, lol!
As far as finding your color match, I recommend trying it in-store, if possible. After looking at the promo swatches I just knew I would be a match for Malaga. When I got to Sephora it was way off so I purchased the next shade down, Seychelles. It ended up being a little too light when I got home so I exchanged it for Martinique, which I’ve been wearing since then. It’s a wee bit deeper and more red than my skin tone, but the beauty of tinted moisturizers is that they can be very forgiving when it comes to color matching.
I am a total fan of NARS Pure Radiant Tinted Moisture SPF 30 and have given it a permanent spot in my beauty arsenal! I highly recommend giving it a try the next time you’re in Sephora or at a NARS counter. Have you tried NARS’ new tinted moisturizer? What is your fave NARS product?
