Last night was such a big night for The Help stars Viola Davis and Octavia Spencer. Although only one of these lovely ladies took home a golden statues for her performance, both of their red carpet looks were triumphant!

Viola Davis was, hands down, my pick for Best In Beauty! She was absolutely stunning! The nude lip, smoky eye combo is always a win, but her close-cropped natural hair sent her over! I mean, do you see that gorgeous coppery-red color? I’m obsessed!

And let’s discuss this emerald green Vera Wang gown. Perfection! Viola was the first person I saw when I turned on my TV, and I literally gasped when I saw her! Viola has a great figure, and this trim gown accentuates it in all the right ways. Viola is always such a treat to see on the red carpet because she’s not afraid to be bold and give a head-turning look! Viola Davis may not have taken the Oscar last night, but her beauty, talent, poise and grace make her a winner in my book!

Oscar winner Octavia Spencer hit the red carpet in an embellished Tadashi Shoji gown, a designer she’s been wearing all awards season. While she looked beautiful in the gown, it’s very similar to her other gowns this season. I think she should have looked great in a pop of color, or perhaps showing a little decolletage. I also wished she’d glammed up her hair and makeup a bit (that gelled, swoop bang was unfortunate :(). At any rate, I was thrilled that she won!

So, what did you think of the ladies’ looks? Who wins your award for Best In Beauty?
