My Total Rockstar Look + Win a Trip to NYC Fashion Week!

You’ve rarely seen Outfit of the Day posts on this blog, as my crappy camera combined with my less than glamorous surroundings, isn’t exactly a recipe for hotness. That is unless you find the backdrop of my neighbor’s lawn exciting, LOL! But I decided to channel my inner fashion model and post a pic showing my Total Rock Star Look to help promote Rock & Republic’s new line at Kohls!

Call it cliche, but for me, a rockstar look will always mean two things: black and leather – my faves! So I donned a black turtleneck and black skinny jeans with a pair of over-the-knee black leather boots. Since it’s winter I layered a faux fur vest over my look and cinched my waist with a leather tie-belt. In my opinion, fur is always glamorous and is a rock star nothing if not glam? My mom always taught me to never leave home without a pair of earrings, so I topped off my look with a pair of thick gold hoop earrings to balance my huge hair (also rock star!), and donned my signature arm full of bangle bracelets. I went with a dozen gold and black and gold bracelets.

As for my beauty look, I kept it simple but glam. The focal points were a bold red lip and black liner-rimmed eyes. I reached for my bright matte red lipstick and lined my eyes with a black kajal crayon (review coming soon!) Speaking of eyes, contrary to the pic above I am not a black-clad, ‘fro wearing werewolf. I was a victim of my camera’s hot-mess flash, lol. So that’s my Total Rock Star look!
