Bombshell Diaries: Motions ‘Naturally You’ Luncheon in NYC

Happy Monday, bombshells! If you follow me on Twitter (@BrownBeautyBlog), then you saw me tweeting last week about Motions new line of products for natural hair, and now I’m so excited to share the deets! Last week I had the opportunity to attend a launch luncheon in NYC for Motions’ new Naturally You line at the Mondrian Hotel in Soho, where I also stayed during my visit. The Mondrian is completely gorgeous, and the staff was incredibly attentive. A couple of us had a chance to hit up some of the shops in Soho and I’m definitely grabbing a drink or meal in the Mondrian’s garden area on my next stay!

Not only did I get to learn about these new products first-hand from the Motions team, but I also got to hang with some of my fave beauty girls from across the web, not to mention celeb stylist and Motions Global Ambassador Ursula Stephen (@UrsulaStephen), who is the mastermind behind every hot, trend-setting hairstyle Rhianna has ever worn!

I loved that the ladies from Motions were so personally passionate and excited about the new Naturally You line. They expressed that for the team at Motions the creation of this line was about more than just creating products, but about joining women on their natural hair journey. Instead of putting the products out and leaving women to figure it out for themselves, there are plans to place how-to videos on the Motions website, as well as care and styling tips for natural hair from Ursula Stephen. I also love the affordability of the collection which consists of six products that will be about $6-8 each. Here’s whats in the line:

• Moisturizing Cleanser
• Smoothing  Conditioner
• Deep Conditioning Masque
• Define My Curls Creme (daily moisturizer)
• Hydrate My Curls Pudding (styling creme/gel)
• Radiating Gloss (shine serum)

The collection will be available in Walgreens and Wal-Mart stores to start, and on Drugstore.com and Amazon.com soon after. I’ve already spotted the collection at my neighborhood Walgreens!

I had a great time talking hair, trading tips and learning about the Naturally You collection of products from Motions. I got to use the Moisturizing Cleanser and Deep Conditioning Masque before the event and loved how soft and moist they left my hair, so now I can’t wait to try the rest of the line, especially the Hydrate My Curls Pudding and Radiating Gloss!
