New Foundations for Deeper Skin Tones from Chanel and MAC
Beauty brands are gearing up for their new fall product releases and it looks like brown girls are going to have some great new foundation options!
In late September Chanel will be releasing Perfection Lumière Foundation, $55, which will feature 23 shades (20 in the US), the widest range of shades the brand has ever offered. The semi-matte formula is said to last up to 15 hours and be compatible with all skin types and undertones. I’ve heard great things about Chanel foundations and I’m glad to see them be more inclusive in their shade creation!
MAC is adding to their foundation lineup as well. On September 22nd the brand will release Matchmaster Foundation SPF 15, $32.50, which includes 14 new shades for very fair and very deep skin tones. The formula has a “moisturizing demi-matte finish, medium buildable coverage, and line-reducing soft focus powders” and is also oil-reducing. I’m not a fan of MAC foundations, but I’m glad to see they’re creating products for the often-ignored deepest skin tones (the range will go up to a NW60).
What do you think about these new foundation releases? Will you be trying either of them this September?
