Beauty Review: CoverGirl Lash Perfection Mascara
Drugstore beauty brands have continued to impress me with their mascara offerings over the last couple of years. Last year Maybelline took everyone by storm with the release of their The Falsies mascara, and CoverGirl wowed us with their Lash Blast mascara before that. Now CoverGirl is back with another great new mascara offering! Well…sorta new. Let me explain.
Several years ago Max Factor cosmetics (which is now defunct in the US) had a great mascara called Lash Perfection, that I really liked. Of course, when Max Factor became dunzo here in the States, so did Lash Perfection. Well, both Max Factor and CoverGirl are owned by Proctor & Gamble (P&G), so I was only mildly surprised to see Lash Perfection back on store shelves, now under the Cover Girl brand name. So is the (sorta) new Lash Perfection as good as I remember it?
Though it may be a little hard to tell from this slightly blurry pic (I totally suck at taking pics of myself), CoverGirl Lash Perfection, $7.49 serves up some pretty good lashes. While it isn’t the world’s most volumizing mascara, I think it does a good job of providing daytime-appropriate volume. The rubber bristles combed through my lashes making sure there were zero clumps, which is always a plus. So if you’d like to up the drama/volume factor by adding multiple coats, I don’t think you’ll have problems with clumping.
Overall, I’d recommend CoverGirl Lash Perfection mascara! It’s a great, inexpensive mascara that I think many will be pleased with. Have you tried Lash Perfection yet? What did you think of it? Have a favorite drugstore mascara? Share it in the comments!
