Beauty Review: Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head

I’ve owned a Clarisonic Classic Sonic Skin Cleansing System, $195 for about two and a half years now, but have been using it on an off and on basis. In the past I’ve used the Delicate and Normal brush heads and found them to absolutely be the best way to deep cleanse my skin. Seriously, nothing will remove makeup and daily dirt and oil better than a Clarisonic. But the reason I never stuck with my Clarisonic was because I wasn’t seeing a difference in the clarity of my skin or in breakouts. So back into a drawer it always went.

Clarisonic Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head

All this changed a couple of months ago when I decided to bring my Clarisonic back out and give it another go. A couple of weeks into using it again, I learned that Clarisonic had released a new Deep Pore Cleansing Brush Head, $25. I’ve been using it for almost two months now with great results! But before I get into my review, here’s how Clarisonic describes the Deep Pore brush head:

The Deep Pore Cleansing brush head is now available for the Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing System! Our newest brush head is designed with a unique gradation of bristle firmness and dual-action movement, making it optimal for cleaning oily skin, skin with large pores or those looking to target hard to reach and uneven areas of the face, like the crevasses around the nose.

The Deep Pore Cleansing brush head works with all of the Clarisonic Sonic Cleansing Systems. The new brush head has three sets of dual inner rings that oscillate in counter-rotation, providing a deeper cleanse than our other brush heads. Also, the outer rings of the brush head bristles become gradually firmer toward the center of the brush head to thoroughly cleanse the hard to reach areas of your face.

The Deep Pore Cleansing brush head is an ideal compliment to your current brush to provide a deeper cleanse. However, the brush head is also safe to use daily up to two times per day.

Now for my review! I was hesitant to try the brush because of how much of a deep cleanse Clarisonic described the brush to have. I was worried that it was going to be really rough on my skin, but the brush is really soft and gentle. In fact, when I first started using it I thought there was no way it was going to deep cleanse anything when it seemed to feel more gentle than the Normal brush head. But I couldn’t have been more wrong!

Since using the Deep Pore brush head the clarity and texture of my skin is much improved. In fact, while I was in Whole Foods last week, I asked an associate for help with something and she just kept staring at my face. Then she suddenly blurted out, “Your have such beautiful skin. It’s so smooth!”. You can’t get a better compliment than that! As far as blackheads go, I haven’t noticed a change in the few that I already had, but I haven’t got any new ones, which makes me a happy girl.

If you have a Clarsonic but haven’t been pleased with the results on your oily and/or blemish-prone skin, I recommend that you get one of the new Deep Pore brush heads and give your Clarisonic another try. If you’re battling the oilies and are considering buying a Clarisonic, I suggest you purchase the system with the Deep Pore brush head. For more info or to purchase, visit Clarisonic.com.

Do you own a Clarisonic? Have you tried the new Deep Pore brush head? If not, will you try it?

Thanks for reviewing the new brush head. I have purchased the ddep pore brush head, and have the same issue of blemish prone skin. After reading this review, can’t wait to try it out :)

Yes, thanks for the review! I’ve had a clarisonic with normal brush head for about a year. While I love the overall cleansing it gives, I still have issues with small, un-clearable blackheads/large pores around my nose and chin…even though the rest of my face looks great from afar! I saw the new Deep Pore head on Clarisonic’s site, and have been searching for an unbiased review before I buy. I definitely will give it a try now. Thanks again!
