Would You Wear This?: June Ambrose Head Turban

Hey Bombshells! I’m back with a new ‘Would You Wear This’! So, earlier today I was flipping through the May 2011 issue of Ebony magazine (the new layout, style pages and overall editorial direction have VASTLY improved!), when I saw a full page dedicated to the fabulousness that is celeb-stylist June Ambrose and her head accessory du jour – the turban.

 

I’ve long admired June Ambrose’s style and instantly loved the turbans she started rocking last year and sharing on Twitter (@JuneAmbrose). While I loved the look of turbans, I had no idea how to tie one properly and dreaded having one come undone and topple off my head in public! Well, June has solved this style dilema and has launched a small collection of her signature turbans, all tied up and ready to pop on your head. The turbans range from $125-145 in price and are available online.

The three above are my faves of the collection, especially the leopard, though you can never go wrong with basic black! While this isn’t the first time the fashion world has seen turbans, I am loving the moment that they’re having right now. I would absolutely rock a turban, but what I want to know is, Would You Wear This? Tell us why or why not in the comments!

    I love the black although it is a little pricey for me< i could totally rock that in the summer with a maxi dress or in the winter with an a line trapeze coat and long gloves!

    Hey Trudy! The price is a tad steep for me as well (I see a trip to the fabric store in my future! LOL), but I LOVE how you’d style it! I hadn’t even thought of winter styling options! Thanks for the comment! :)

    Not for me, especially at that price. Remember when people wore the head coverings the other way around with the big ball in the back? That was just plain of fabric from rag shop, this looks the same.
