Amber’s Beauty Staples: Sephora
Hello Lovelies! While stocking up on a few of my beauty basics recently, I realized that I’ve never shared with you all my absolutely essential beauty staples. Where in the world have I been?! So, I’ve decided to rectify this beauty blogging blunder by sharing the products that are in constant rotation in my beauty arsenal, and where I get them.
Each post in the Amber’s Beauty Staples series will feature my favorite spots to scoop up my essentials, along with the products that I find myself buying time and time again. It’s only fitting that we kick things off with Sephora, the biggest, baddest beauty store of them all! Check out my Sephora beauty staples!
I never wear waterproof eye makeup (Why bother? I’m not ruining my makeup by dunking my face in water! LOL!), but I always have the hardest time removing my makeup at the end of the night. Enter Sephora FACE Waterproof Eye Makeup Remover, $6! I tried this on a whim several years ago, and have yet to find another eye makeup remover that works as great as this! Not to be confused with Sephora’s non-waterproof eye makeup remover (don’t try it, it’s not worth it), this waterproof version removes every trace of my eye makeup with just one swipe!
This is one product I never thought I needed until I used it! Sephora by OPI Nail Colour Drying Drops, $14 is truly the most genius nail care product I’ve ever used. After polishing your nails, use the dropper to add one or two drops of this miracle liquid to nails. They’ll be dry and super shiny in no time flat. Plus, the added jojoba oil and Vitamin E will moisturize and nourish cuticles. Love it!
I give myself at-home manis at least one a week, and if there is one thing that I have learned, it’s that all nail polish removers are NOT created equal. Sephora by OPI Nail Colour Remover, $5 removes even the darkest of nail polish in a flash, without needing to use tons of cotton pads. You might expect a polish remover this effective to strip your nails, but that’s not the case here! This remover contains aloe vera, grape seed oil and Vitamin E to moisturize your nails while removing polish!
I can’t even begin to count the number of tins of Smith’s Rosebud Salve I’ve purchased over the years. This cult classic is the best at healing and preventing chapped lips, and can even be used to moisturize cuticles, soothe cuts and burns, and is an awesome at banishing ashy skin! I’ve always kept a couple of tins around, but hated the risk of spreading germs. Imagine my delight to find that it’s now available in a tube! Smith’s Rosebud Salve in a Tube, $6 is a beauty dream come true!
We all have those days when our hair needs a shampoo, but it just doesn’t fit into our busy schedule. When I need to stretch my hair for an extra day, I reach for Oscar Blandi Pronto Dry Shampoo, $11. It smells amazing, is alcohol-free, and does a great job of freshening up your hair. I just sprinkle a little of the powder in my hands and run my fingers through my hair to distribute it. Then I hit my hair with a comb or brush and I’m good to go! I’ve also found it to be a life-saver when I can’t go straight home after a workout (gym hair is SO not a good look!), and after nights out on the town (you’d be amazed how easily hair picks up the scent of food in a restaurant!). One bottle lasts forever, and deserves a spot in your hair care arsenal!
Stay tuned for the next installment of Amber’s Beauty Staples when I dish about my faves from Sally’s Beauty Supply! In the meantime, share some of your Sephora beauty staples in the comments!
