Beauty News: Mary J. Blige to Release “My Life” Fragrance + Sunglasses Collection
Despite the fact that almost every celebrity and their mother has released a fragrance, I’m still surprised whenever a new one is announced. I mean, when will this trend end? However, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that Mary J. Blige is releasing a fragrance this summer.
Created in partnership with beauty brand Carol’s Daughter (Mary is an investor in the brand), the fragrance is named after her classic 1994 album “My Life”. According to WWD, My Life has top notes of gardenia petals, Bartlett pear and white freesia; the heart is of tuberose, blooming jasmine, gold lily and apricot flower, and the drydown is of cashmere woods, praline, sesame and incense. Sounds delish, right?!
My Life will debut exclusively on HSN on July 31st, for $46, along with a complimentary clutch. I have a feeling this is going to 
be a HUGE seller, so if you’d like a bottle before it sells out, you might want to put HSN on speed-dial!
Carol’s Daughter will also be taking pre-orders at the Essence Music Festival this July, so if you plan to be in NOLA this July 4th weekend, stop by their booth to meet MJB and get a free scented bracelet!
