Beauty Review: Iman Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup

I’m a big fan of Iman cosmetics, especially their face products. Iman’s foundations and powders are one of only a few brands that are a great match for my skin tone, and offers the best quality foundation products for women of color in the drugstore, in my opinion! I’m always excited to try out each new face product Iman releases and was super excited to see her new Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup, $15.

I spotted this in Walgreen’s a couple of months ago and have been using it since then with great results! Let me first say that the name of this product is a tad misleading. The package says that it is a liquid, but it’s much more of a creamy mousse. That being said, the coverage of this foundation is a lot more than what you’ll get from a typical liquid foundation.

This mousse-y foundation goes on very light, but gives medium to full coverage. If you have any dark spots they won’t be totally covered by this with a standard application, but it’s buildable and you can cover more if you apply it in spots that need a little more attention. On the skin, it gives a smooth, natural finish without looking at all cakey! For me, Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup gave a little more sheen than I would like, so I dust on a tad bit of Iman’s Semi-Loose Powder and I’m good to go!

Because of it’s texture, I like to apply this with a stippling brush, but I can see using your fingers (for a sheer application)  or a traditional foundation brush (for more coverage) working as well. I should also note that the shades are very hard to tell apart in the packaging, so I recommend seeing what your shade is in Iman’s Stick Foundation, and working from there.

Iman Luxury Radiance Liquid Makeup is available at drugstores and Ulta stores around the country. For a limited time, you can purchase this little gem at Drugstore.com and get an Iman travel foundation brush FREE!

I want to try this and use it as a summer foundation, is this very oily or what? I know iman foundations r usually heavy but this sounds a little lighter, would this work for summer use in 100+ heat!

It’s not all all oily. I think using just a dab of this, then dusting it with some finishing powder will be perfect for summer!
