It looks like Beyonce’s debut fragrance is a hit! Word on the street is that Macy’s, the exclusive retailer of the fragrance, racked in a whopping $3 million in Beyonce Heat sales in February and the beginning of March, making it the number one selling fragrance at Macy’s. Pretty impressive, huh?

Macy’s sold 72,000 bottles alone when Beyonce made an appearance at the NYC Herald Square location last month. And did I mention that those 72,000 bottles were sold in one hour? Cuh-razy! I finally had a chance to sniff Heat over the weekend and found it to smell old-ladyish at first (think Liz Taylor/old-school Estee Lauder), but it dried down to a rather lovely scent. I’ll need more time with it to form a definite opinion about it.
