Eek! I’m so excited about the January cover of Essence magazine! Not only is a fresh face gracing the cover, but Broadway diva Anika Noni Rose is the cover girl! And she looks cuh-razy gorgeous!

She’ll be making history this month as the voice of Princess Tiana, Disney’s first Black princess. I for one am super stoked to see this film. It is high time Disney had a princess with a little melanin!

While I try to figure out whose child I can borrow to see this film without seeming like a wierdo, you should run out and pick up your copy of this issue!

PS: As soon as I figure out what makeup was used for this gorgeous cover (I suspect Sam Fine was involved!), I’ll be sure to share the deets!
