Happy 1st Anniversary to Brown Bombshell Beauty! Wow, I can’t believe I just typed that! Brown Bombshell Beauty is offiically 1 year old!

This last year has just flown by and I can’t express to you all how proud I am of everything that has been done on this site. When I started this beauty blog on December 29, 2008, I had no idea what a fulfilling journey I was about to embark on. All I knew was that I loved beauty products, and had spent the better part of my life making product recommendations and applying makeup to family and friends. I just wanted a place to share my love of beauty. We’ve been through several changes, but here we are 1 year later and still going strong!

Over the course of this year, I have been privileged to meet and learn from some of the best beauty bloggers on the web, and join a close-knit community of passionate, intelligent, business-savvy women. I’ve had the pleasure of spending time with celebrity makeup artists at the top of their field, learning from them and feeding off of their passion for the business. I’ve also been fortunate enough to build relationships with the professionals behind our favorite beauty brands, whose ranks I hope to one day join.

But most of all, I have had the pleaure of interacting with you, my readers! Your emails, comments, Tweets and feedback are what keeps this site going. There were a couple of times when I wasn’t sure I wanted to continue with the site, but then I would read a comment from one of you that would strengthen my resolve. It has been my absolute pleasure to share my love of beauty with you, and I hope you’ll stick around for year two!

Now for the good stuff! As a big “thank you”, I have teamed up with some of my favorite beauty brands to host a Brown Bombshell Beauty Anniversary Giveaway Extravaganza (whew, that’s a mouthfull)!
